Thanksgiving is here—a time for food, family, and reflection. And as I sit down to count my blessings, my heart feels full, not just because of what we have but because of the One who has carried us through it all.
Life hasn’t always been easy. There have been seasons when the weight of uncertainty felt overwhelming, when prayers were whispered with tears and answers seemed far off.
It’s hard to give thanks when you’re in the valley. But looking back, I see those valleys were where I felt God’s comforting presence the most. The moments when I thought I couldn’t take another step were the moments He carried me. Those trials, as painful as they were, brought me closer to Him. They reminded me that my strength isn’t enough, but His is.
And now, when I look around at the life He has blessed us with, I know those struggles weren’t in vain. They were the foundation for a deeper faith and a greater joy in the blessings we now have.
Today, I can’t help but marvel at how much there is to be thankful for. My children are healthy, filling our home with laughter, chaos, and a reminder of God’s goodness every day. My husband and I are stronger than ever, a team forged through prayer, communication, and a commitment to honoring God in our marriage.
We’ve recently stepped into the joy of owning our first home—a dream we prayed for and a blessing we don’t take lightly. It’s a space where we can grow together as a family, welcome friends, and create memories that we’ll treasure forever.
Our church is more than a building; it’s a family. The friendships we’ve built and the love we’ve experienced there are tangible reminders of God’s design for community. We’re so thankful to worship, serve, and grow alongside people who continually point us back to Him.
And then there’s the gift of extended family. Our parents enjoy good health, thankfully, and visit often to pour love and wisdom into their grandchildren. Watching those relationships bloom is a reminder of the generational blessings we are privileged to witness.
As I give thanks for these blessings, I’m reminded that they’re not mine to hoard or claim credit for—they’re gifts from God, meant to glorify Him. Every success, every joyful moment, is an opportunity to point others to His goodness.
And even in the struggles, we can glorify Him. When life isn’t perfect (because let’s be real, it never is), we can still choose gratitude. We can still choose to trust. And we can still choose to say, “God, You are good, no matter what.”
This Thanksgiving, my heart overflows with gratitude—not because life is perfect, but because God is. He has been faithful in every season, through every trial, and in every blessing.
So, as we gather around the table, I’ll say a prayer of thanks—not just for the food and the family, but for the God who makes it all possible. A God who sees us, loves us, and walks with us through every step of this journey.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends. May your hearts be full, your blessings be many, and your lives be a reflection of His grace. ❤️
