My “If I Didn’t Already Own It” Christmas Wish List

,

Every year I get asked what I want for Christmas, and every year I truly realize how blessed I am to not need or want much at all. In my cabinets and drawers, sit all the things I absolutely love and the things I would 100% ask for if I didn’t already have them. So consider this my “I already own this, but YOU might need it” Christmas list.

These are the items that have earned permanent residency in my everyday life.

1. An Immersion Blender with Attachments

I have the Drew Berryman one from Walmart and she is BEAUTIFUL. She’s like the fairy godmother of weeknight soups: quiet, efficient, and good-looking. I use the attachments constantly. Bonus tip: I use it to immersion blend beans for quick refried beans.

2. A Nice Dutch Oven

A real kitchen workhorse. Soups, breads, roasts: basically the cozy trinity. A Dutch oven makes me feel like I have my life together even when I absolutely do not. I have both the Lodge brand and the Le Crusete and they’re honestly very comprable.

3. A Lodge Cast Iron Skillet (8 inches or bigger)

If you don’t have a cast iron skillet, this is your sign. Lodge is affordable, indestructible, and will outlive us all. I reach for mine daily.

4. A Beautiful Everyday Coffee Mug

Listen. The right mug changes everything. Your entire morning routine can hinge on it. The weight, the glaze, the handle…it matters. If I didn’t already have one I love, this would be a mandatory request.

5. A Stationery Set + Nice Pens

Blank cards, pretty paper, and yes… FELT TIP pens. Controversial, I know. I will die on this hill. A little set like this makes writing thank-you notes or sending quick encouragement a joy instead of a chore.

6. A Large Heating Pad

Not the delicate little one for your lower back, the big one that covers your entire spine and brings you back to life. Necessary. The one I have even goes up over my shoulders and around my neck like a hug.

7. Nice Pajamas + Luxurious Bedding

Because adulthood is realizing you spend one-third of your life in bed and maybe it should feel less like a rummage sale. Soft sheets, good pjs? Instant upgrade.

8. High-Quality Face Cream

I use Toups & Co’s frankincense tallow balm and love it. A little goes a long way, and it feels like the smoothest cream you’ve every felt. Perfect gift category: “I feel fancy but also practical.”

9. Jo Malone Perfume

Literally the only perfume that doesn’t give me a headache. I wear the nectarine-honey-something (that’s the official name, I’m sure). Light, elegant, and not aggressive. I recently scheduled a consultation for my mom’s birthday and she absolutely loved the experience and the scents she left with.

10. A Cozy Robe + Fuzzy Socks

A classic, a staple, a lifestyle. I don’t need to explain this.

11. A Really Beautiful Bible

My current one is a stunning ESV with a floral cover and journaling margins. It’s one of my favorite possessions. If you don’t have a Bible you love to open, it’s worth asking for something beautiful and meaningful. Another note: tabs or no tabs?

12. A Large Cozy Blanket That’s Also Pretty

Not just a blanket: a throw that moonlights as decor. The kind you can leave on the couch without apologizing for it. Soft, warm, oversized, and aesthetically pleasing. A gift that says, “Yes, I am both cozy and put together.”

About Me

Hello friend, my name is Katie and pizza is my favorite food. Yes, I’m in my thirties and yes, I have three daughters that I’m raising and homeschooling and nagging, but I think you’d be most interested to know that I would eat pizza for every meal of every day and never complain. There was a brief time (ages 8-11) when I thought that mashed potatoes was my favorite food, but I’ve since come around. That being said, I don’t only talk about pizza. Here you will find slices of homeschooling life, home decor, cooking, musings, and an occasional funny meme. In fact, I think you will find a shocking lack of pizza content as a whole, but now you know the truth: Pizza is always close to mind.
