This study wasn’t supposed to become a free download.
A few months ago, I sat down at my kitchen table with the simple goal of helping my girls understand the book of Acts. I wanted something that would walk us through the Bible slowly, verse by verse, in a way that was rich enough for me but still accessible for elementary-aged kids.
As I kept adding to it, it grew.
What started as a handful of notes became a full 15-week study. Along the way I found myself researching Roman history, archaeology, maps, theology, worship music, memory verses, and even podcast episodes that would help bring Scripture to life. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I realized other families might enjoy using it too.
So I cleaned it up, organized it, and turned it into a free download.
What’s Included
This 15-week reading plan is designed for families with elementary-aged children, but it’s flexible enough to adapt for older students as well.
Inside you’ll find:
- A verse-by-verse reading plan through the entire book of Acts
- Historical and cultural background that helps explain what’s happening
- Archaeological discoveries that support the historical setting
- Worship song recommendations
- Theology connections using The Ology by Marty Machowski
- Fun facts and opportunities to dig a little deeper
The goal isn’t to rush through Acts, it’s to slow down and discover how the Holy Spirit built the early Church, how the gospel spread across the Roman Empire, and how the story of Acts connects to God’s larger story of redemption.
My hope is that your family walks away with more than just knowledge of the events. I hope your children come to see that the people in Acts were real people, living in real places, serving a real Savior, and that the same God who worked through them is still at work today.
