Crocktober Roundup

—

, ,

I have decided that October 2026 is going to be Crocktober around here.

I love a crockpot meal. Throw everything in, walk away, and come back a few hours later to dinner? Yes, please. Especially in the fall, when I want cozy food but absolutely do not want to spend my entire afternoon standing in the kitchen.

So this month, I’m trying a bunch of crockpot recipes. Here’s the important part: I have never made any of these before. I picked recipes that sounded good to me, and now we’re going to find out together if they actually are good. Some may be instant family favorites, some may be fine, and there will probably be at least one that ends up being a complete flop.

I’ll be sharing what I thought of each one, whether my kids ate it, what I would change, and most importantly, whether I’d actually make it again. Basically, I’m doing the experimenting so you don’t have to. 😂

Here’s my roundup of recipes to try this CROCKTOBER.

● About Me

Hello friend, my name is Katie and pizza is my favorite food. Yes, I’m in my thirties and yes, I have three daughters that I’m raising and homeschooling and nagging, but I think you’d be most interested to know that I would eat pizza for every meal of every day and never complain. There was a brief time (ages 8-11) when I thought that mashed potatoes was my favorite food, but I’ve since come around. That being said, I don’t only talk about pizza. Here you will find slices of homeschooling life, home decor, cooking, musings, and an occasional funny meme. In fact, I think you will find a shocking lack of pizza content as a whole, but now you know the truth: Pizza is always close to mind.
